Valpolicella Ripasso - new band to guarantee the consumer
01/12/2011

From December 1st  2011 every bottle of Valpolicella Ripasso will be sealed with the band state. This is the achievement of another important step, after obtaining the last year the docg.

Although it has become a designation of origin only from 2010, the Ripasso has a long and unique tradition. Ripasso of Valpolicella is made from "review" of the Valpolicella fermented on the skins of the grapes used to produce Amarone and Recioto. The Valpolicella Ripasso  is thus more substantial review and round of Valpolicella, but less strong than Amarone: in short, a wine with intense character and pleasant at the same time.

The Valpolicella wines Consortium  choose to affix the mark of the State,  to protect the product from imitations, by ensuring traceability of each bottle. All this will help ensure consumers of wine , as well as allow the consortium control  as is  the case for the Recioto and Amarone della Valpolicella.
